Trojan basketball players Camille LeNoir and O.J. Mayo were selected today (Jan. 7) as USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6
LeNoir, a redshirt junior, hit the winning shot with eight seconds left to defeat No. 2 Stanford 73-72 on Jan. 6 at the Galen Center. LeNoir finished with 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting, including hitting five three-pointers. In the five-point loss to California on Jan. 4, LeNoir had eight points, three assists and a steal.
The freshman Mayo scored 34 points in USC's 92-82 loss at California on Jan. 3. His point total tied for the fifth-most points ever scored by a USC freshman in a game. He added 14 points in the 52-46 loss at No. 24 Stanford on Jan. 5, giving him an average of 24 points per game for the week.
