Sophomore Rory Hie won the Stanford Invitational by eight strokes with a 10-under 200. He helped lead USC to the team title by 13 strokes.

Erdelyi, Hie and White Named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes Of The Week

Zsofia Erdelyi, Rory Hie and Corey White were named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (April 21) for the week of April 14-20.

Erdelyi, a freshman on the women's track and field team, set the USC record in the women's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:11.32 at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 18. Her time was the second-fastest by a college female this season entering this weeks action. She was also named Pac-10 Female Track Athlete of the Week.

Redshirt junior White of the men's track and field team bettered his school javelin record with a winning throw of 267-10 at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 20. His throw was fifth best in the world this season and the second best by an American. It is the top collegiate mark this season by over 20 feet. He was also named Pac-10 Male Field Athlete of the Week.

Sophomore golfer Hie helped lead USC to the team title at the Stanford Invitational (April 18-20) while winning the individual crown by eight strokes. Hie shot a 10-under par 200 for the three-day event. It was Hie's second individual tournament title this season. Hie tied his school record with a 62 in the first round.
