Women's soccer players Kristin Olsen and Amy Rodriguez were named as USC's Well Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (Dec. 10) for the week of Dec. 3-9.

The pair helped guide the Women of Troy to Final-Four wins over UCLA and then Florida State to capture USC's first national championship in women's soccer.

The sophomore goalkeeper Olsen was dominant once again, holding the nation's top scoring team Florida State scoreless in the finals, in posting a 2-0 shutout, her fifth in the NCAA Championships. The five shutouts are the most ever by a team in NCAA Tournament play. Olsen also had a career-high eight saves vs. UCLA in the semi-final game. Olsen and the defense allowed just one goal in the six tournament games. She was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

Junior forward Rodriguez scored both goals in USC's 2-1 semi-final win over No. 1 UCLA. The win over the Bruins snapped USC's 11-game winless streak to the crosstown rivals. She was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Offensive Player as she scored three goals in the six games, including her first career two-goal game to beat UCLA.
