Diaz started at USC in 2004 after four years (2000-2004) at Northwestern, working primarily with the football program with oversight responsibilities of the men's and women's tennis teams and wrestling team.
Prior to Northwestern Paul was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at San Jose State University for 2 years (1998-2000) working with the football program and a variety of other programs. He attended Cal Poly Pomona (1993-1998) where he served as a student athletic trainer and received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology.
Paul is a native of southern California and currently resides with his wife, Aimee, in Redondo Beach.
