THIS YEAR: Michael Murray should make his way on to the Trojan top 10 hammer list this season.
2003: Murray emerged as one of the best hammer throwers in the Pac-10 as a junior ... Finished second at the UCLA dual meet with a throw of 196-11 to key a Trojan sweep of the top two spots ... Placed 10th at the Pac-10s with a mark of 183-5 ... Finished third at the NCAA West Regionals with a throw of 198-5 ... Fouled out at the NCAA Championships ... Threw a PR 204-5 at the Bennie Brown Invitational.
2002: Murray had a fine season as a 2002 sophomore, improving his hammer PR by eight feet to 199-10 ... He finished eighth at the Pac-10s with a throw of 190-8 ... He was second at the UCLA dual meet with a throw of 198-4 1/4.
2001: Murray finished sixth at the Pac-10s with a throw of 191-1.
