THIS YEAR: Redshirt junior Corey White a transfer from the University of Redlands can come in and challenge to USC javelin records. He is a two-time Div. III NCAA champion in the javelin.
2007: Served his redshirt season.
BEFORE USC: Attended Redlands for the 2005 and 2006 seasons, winning the 2006 NCAA Division III javelin championship at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. with a stadium and school-record throw of 231-7 (70.59m) on May 27..Was ALL-SCIAC both seasons...Finished seventh at the NCAA Div. III Championships as a freshman...Won the gold medal at the USTAF Junior National Championships in the javelin with a throw of 221-4...This advanced him onto the Pan American games in Canada, where he earned the silver medal in the javelin with a throw of nearly 229 feet...Also played defensive end for the Bulldogs' football team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mt. Pleasant High in San Jose, Calif.
PERSONAL: Corey was born on Jan. 31, 1986...Likes to play video games and watch movies...Lists his favorite actors as Megan Fox and Chuck Norris and favorite movie as Grandma's Boy...He is a Psychology major at USC.
