Lopez, who has spent his entire Trojan career in the outfield, may see action at third base in his 2008 senior season.

Summer
He batted .300 (48-for-160) with six home runs, 33 RBI and a team-leading 24 stolen bases for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Collegiate League.

2007
In his 2007 junior season, Lopez made 27 starts in 34 appearances...batted .313 (26-for-83) with 10 RBI and four stolen bases...recorded a season-high three RBI in a 2-for-3 day on May 25 against Stanford...went 3-for-5 with an RBI on April 29 against Washington State...had a double in a 2-for-3 performance against UCLA on April 15...had three hits on March 4 at Georgia.


2006
As a 2006 sophomore, Lopez made 10 starts in 30 games for the Trojans...batted .273 (12-for-44) with three RBI and two stolen bases...started the season with a four-game hitting streak...hit a key two-run double as the Trojans rallied for a win on the road at No. 13 Arizona State on April 13...went 2-for-4 with an RBI on May 21 at Wichita State.

2005
Lopez made 32 starts in 53 games during his 2005 freshman season, batting .264 (28-for-106) with a home run and 21 RBI...went 3-for-4 on June 12 in 9-8, 10-inning win at Oregon State during the NCAA Super Regional...had a 3-for-4 game with two RBI on May 14 against Washington State...hit his first collegiate home run with a three-run shot to left on May 10 at San Diego State, snapping a 5-5 tie in the seventh for USC's 10-6 victory...while playing center field on Feb. 13 against No. 17 Long Beach State, he started a double play to end the eighth when he threw a one-hop bullet to the plate to prevent the game-tying run...played summer ball for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and batted .237 (22-for-93) with eight RBI...in 33 games, he made 28 appearances in the outfield and added four doubles at the plate.

He earned All-Palomar League first team honors at Rancho Bernardo (Calif.) High in his senior season after batting .468 with 10 home runs...member of the Palomar League championship squad...played in the 2003 Connie Mack World Series with the Encinitas Reds.
