St. John is a two-way player who could see playing time in a corner outfield position as well as in the Trojans' bullpen in his 2008 freshman season.
High School
He was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Corona del Mar High in Newport Beach, Calif., under coach John Emme...earned all-league second team honors in his senior season as well as being named to the Daily Pilot Dream Team...batted .306 with 16 stolen bases as a senior and had a 3.47 ERA on the mound...earned All-CIF second and all-league first team honors in his junior season after batting .400...during his junior season, he tied for the CIF Division III and league lead with 16 stolen bases.
