LOS ANGELES --- USC sent 11 batters to the plate as part of a six-run seventh inning Friday as the Trojans defeated the Georgia Bulldogs, 9-5, in nonconference action at Dedeaux Field. The Trojans handed the Bulldogs (7-1) their first loss of the season.

Freshman David Parrow (Nanakuli, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools) earned his first collegiate win with 1 1/3 perfect innings, followed by two perfect innings by reliever John Dunn (Torrance/West HS). Dunn has not allowed a run in his last 15 innings.

USC improved to 9-8 on the season and took advantage of 10 walks by Georgia pitchers.

Matt Cusick and Blake Sharpe had two hits and two RBI each for the Trojans while Hector Estrella drew four walks in as many plate appearances in the No. 9 spot in the lineup.

Joey Side had two hits for the Bulldogs and is 5-for-10 for the weekend. Jason Jacobs also had two hits on the night for Georgia.

Georgia led 4-1 in the fifth when USC head coach Mike Gillespie was ejected from the game for arguing a possible double play to end the inning and the Trojans responded with an 8-1 run. The Trojans walked three times and were hit by a pitch twice, including once with the bases loaded, as part of the seventh inning.

The series finale is tomorrow at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on usctrojans.com with the video webcast courtesy of College Sports' All-Access.
