LOS ANGELES -- USC shortstop Grant Green (Anaheim Hills/Canyon HS) and right-handed pitcher Brad Boxberger (Tustin/Foothill HS) have been named to play in the 2008 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game this Saturday (July 26). The game will start at 7 p.m. (Eastern) and be broadcast live on NESN. Both players will play for the East Division and represent the Chatham A's.

Through Monday's action, Green is second in the Cape Cod League with a .392 batting average (49-for-125). He has 27 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 17 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

Green earned Baseball America All-America third team honors for the Trojans last season after batting .390 (80-for-205) this season for the Trojans with nine home runs, 46 RBI and 10 stolen bases. He led the team in batting average and home runs while setting the school career record for triples.

Boxberger is second in the CCBL with eight saves. As the A's closer, he is 0-2 with a 2.63 ERA. In 13 2/3 innings, he has allowed eight hits with four earned runs, five walks and 21 strikeouts.

He went 3-5 with a 3.20 ERA in his 2007 freshman season for the Trojans, earning Rivals.com All-America second team honors.
