USC incoming freshman DeMar DeRozan led the USA team to a 98-78 win over the World Select Team today (April 12) at the 11th Nike Hoop Summit held at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.

DeRozan, a senior at Compton H.S., led all scorers with 17 points, making 6 of 12 from the floor and 4 of 5 from the free throw line.

The Nike Hoop Summit is an annual game which sees America's top senior high school players take on a World Select Team comprised of the world's top players 19-years-old or younger.

DeRozan already played in the McDonald's All-American Game on March 26 and was the winner of the 2008 McDonald's All-American Slam Dunk Contest on March 25. The 6-6, 210 small forward averaged over 29 points per game this season for Compton H.S. and is the No. 2 rated player by Rivals.com in the 2008 men's basketball recruiting class.
