2007: Cameron, who was a forward on BYU's basketball team as a first-year freshman in 2006-07, transferred to USC in the fall of 2007 to play football (wide receiver) but will have to sit out his 2007 redshirt freshman season because of NCAA transfer rules.
BYU: He did not play football at BYU in 2006, but rather redshirted as a first-year freshman forward on the Cougars' men's basketball team in 2007.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made the 2005 Prep Star All-West, Los Angeles Daily News All-Area second team and All-Marmonte League first team as a senior wide receiver at Newbury Park (Calif.) High. He caught 73 passes for 1,022 yards (14.0 avg.) with 12 TDs in 2005.
As a junior in 2004, he made All-Marmonte League first team.
He also starred in basketball at Newbury Park, where he averaged 21.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 3.0 steals and 0.8 blocks as a 2006 senior. He was the 2006 Ventura County Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year and was named All-Ventura County Star first team, All-CIF Division III first team and All-Marmonte League first team. As a junior in 2005, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks while earning All-Ventura County second team, All-North Los Angeles Region first team and All-Marmonte League first team honors.
He also played volleyball at Newbury Park.
PERSONAL: His sister, Brynn, is a junior guard on the USC women's basketball team. His grandfather, Jack Cravens, played basketball and baseball at BYU (1957-59).
