2008: Goodman, a one-time walk-on who earned a scholarship in the spring of 2008, will serve as the backup fullback and a key special teams player as a junior in 2008.
2007: Green, who transferred to USC as a walk-on in the fall of 2007 from a junior college, saw action in 7 games (all but Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Californa, Arizona State and UCLA) as a sophomore backup fullback and on special teams. Overall in 2007, he made 1 tackle (against Illinois).
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He played tight end for 2 seasons (2005-06) at Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo (Calif.). As a freshman in 2005, he earned All-Mission Conference second team honors while catching 9 passes for 104 yards (11.6 avg.) with 1 TD in 10 games. Then, in 2006, he had 3 receptions in the first 2 games, including an 86-yard touchdown (the longest scoring catch by a tight end in school history), before tearing ligaments in his knee and sitting out the rest of the season (he was allowed to redshirt because of the early-season injury).
HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped at Edison High in Huntington Beach (Calif.).
PERSONAL: He's a public policy, management and planning major at USC with a B average (3.05 GPA). He was married in the spring of 2007 to his wife, Jessica, the daughter of former USC (1982-84) and NFL tight end Mark Boyer.
