CAREER: His 89 career catches is 21st on USC's all-time pass catching chart. 2008: Turner, USC's most experienced wide receiver, returns for his second season as a starter as a senior in 2008. 2007: Turner started at both wideout spots (3 early-season games at flanker and 7 contests at split end) in his 2007 junior season. Overall in 2007 while appearing in 11 games (all but Idaho and Illinois) and starting 10 times (all but Idaho and UCLA), he had 48 receptions for 569 yards (11.9 avg.) with 3 touchdowns. He also had a tackle and a forced fumble. He was a 2007 Phil Steele's All-Pac-10 honorable mention pick. He missed the Idaho game after suffering a stinger in 2007 fall camp and the Illinois game with a thigh bruise suffered in practice. He had 3 receptions for 24 yards at Nebraska, 7 catches for 74 yards (64 yards) against Washington State, Turner had a 6 catches for 87 yards (both game highs) with a 23-yard TD at Washington and a game-high 9 receptions for 83 yards against Stanford. He added 3 catches for 21 yards against Arizona, 4 catches for 42 yards at Notre Dame and 7 receptions for 107 yards (with a 9-yard TD) at Oregon. He had 2 catches for 21 yards against California and a 20-yard reception against Notre Dame. 2005: Turner served as an often-used backup wide receiver as a first-year freshman in 2005. Overall in 2005 while appearing in 12 games (all but UCLA), he had 12 catches for 170 yards (14.2 avg.) with 2 TDs. He had 2 catches for 25 yards (including a 21-yard TD) against Arkansas, added a 20-yard reception against Arizona and had 2 grabs for 40 yards (with a 31-yard TD) at Washington. He then had 2 catches for 21 yards against Washington State, 3 receptions for 35 yards versus Stanford and 2 catches for 29 yards at California. He strained his right hamstring against Fresno State and missed the UCLA game. HIGH SCHOOL: He was a 2004 Parade All-American, Super Prep Elite 50, Prep Star Top 100 Dream Team, Student Sports Top 100, Rivals 100, Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, Tom Lemming All-American, Scout.com All-American first team, USA Today All-USA second team, EA Sports All-American second team, Super Prep All-Dixie Offensive Player of the Year, Prep Star All-Southeast, Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super Southern 100 and FSN South All-South selection as a senior wide receiver at Goodpasture High in West Madison (Tenn.). He had 48 receptions for 800-plus yards and 11 touchdowns in 2004. As a junior, he caught 56 passes for 955 yards (17.1 avg.) with 12 TDs. He was a Student Sports Sophomore All-American in 2002 when he had 56 catches for 1,033 yards with 14 TDs. He also was on the basketball and track teams at Goodpasture. PERSONAL: He's a sociology major at USC. PATRICK TURNER ON: His expectations: "I feel it's my time now to show what I can do, now that I'm older, been in the system and know how things go around here. I'm just going in there with the mindset to make sure the team doesn't lose a step."
