Sept. 8, 2004

USC sophomore tailback Reggie Bush was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Troy's opening 24-13 win over Virginia Tech. Bush tied a school-record with three touchdown catches as he accounted for all of USC's touchdowns on scoring receptions for 35, 53 and 29 yards. For the game, he had five receptions for 127 yards (25.4), and added 27 yards rushing, 60 yards on punt returns and 44 yards on kickoff returns for 258 all-purpose yards. It was the second Pac-10 Player of the Week honor of Bush's career. Last season, he was the league's Special Teams Player of the Week following his outing against UCLA. Also honored this past week by the Pac-10 were Arizona cornerback Antoine Cason (Defense) and Washington State punter Kyle Basler (Special Teams).
