USC sophomore tailback Stafon Johnson was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Trojans' dominating victory at Nebraska.

Johnson ran for a career-best 144 yards on just 11 carries, with a 7-yard touchdown, to average 13.1 yards per rush. It was the most rushing yards by a Trojan since Reggie Bush had 260 versus UCLA in 2005.

USC, which averaged just 128.0 rushing yards per game in 2006, ran for 313 yards in the game (its most since getting 403 versus UCLA in 2005 and the most allowed by Nebraska since 2003) and averaged 8.2 yards per carry (a Nebraska opponent record). The Trojans broke off 11 runs of at least 10 yards.

Joining Johnson as Pac-10 Players of the Week were a pair of Stanford players, safety Bo McNally (defense) and placekicker Derek Belch (special teams).
