USC tailback Chauncey Washington was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance at California.

Washington ran for a career-best 220 yards (on 29 carries), including 64 on a game-winning 96-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter, at California. He jetted for a 36-yard TD and averaged 7.6 yards per carry. He posted the most rushing yards by a Trojan since Reggie Bush had 260 versus UCLA in 2005. It also was Washington's fourth career 100-yard outing, surpassing his previous high by 101 yards. He has 1,557 career rushing yards (20th on USC's career rushing list).

Washington joins tailback Stafon Johnson, who was honored following the Nebraska game earlier this year, as Trojans named Pac-10 Offensive Players of the Week in 2007.

Joining Washington this week as Pac-10 Player of the Week honorees were Washington State safety Husain Abdullah (defense) and Oregon State kicker Alexis Serna (special teams).
