The honors continued for USC linebacker Rey Maualuga and Taylor Mays, as both were named to the Sporting News and the ESPN.com All-American first teams.

Maualuga has now made 9 various All-American first teams (AP, Football Coaches, Football Writers, Walter Camp, Sporting News, ESPN.com, CBSSports.com, Rivals.com, Phil Steele’s), while Mays has been on 8 (AP, Football Writers, Walter Camp, Sporting News, ESPN.com, SI.com, CBSSports.com, Phil Steele’s).

Linebacker Brian Cushing and defensive tackle Fili Moala both made the Sporting News All-American second team.
