LOVEMARK SO FAR THIS SEASON
Sophomore Jamie Lovemark, the reigning NCAA individual champion, again leads the Trojans in stroke average at 71.33 ... Lovemark missed USC's season-opener while representing the United States at the Walker Cup ... His sophomore debut saw him tie for sixth at the Ping/Golfweek Fall Preview and he followed it with a second-place effort at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate, including an opening-round 68.

2006-2007
Lovemark turned in perhaps the most successful season in USC men's golf history as a freshman, capped by winning Troy's fourth NCAA individual title (and becoming just the third Trojan to do it). The top-ranked golfer for much of the season, Lovemark earned the Arnold Palmer (national championship individual medalist), Jack Nicklaus (national player of the year) and Phil Mickelson (nation's outstanding freshman) Awards and was tabbed a Ping All-American first teamer. He also earned Pac-10 Co-Golfer and Freshman of the Year honors ... Lovemark joined Scott Simpson and Ron Commans as USC NCAA title winners and he became only the eighth freshman ever to win the event ... Eleven shots off the lead halfway through the NCAA Championships, Lovemark fired consecutive 6-under 64s to for the come-from-behind win. He finished with a 9-under 271 (72-71-64-64) after posting his second and third 64s of the year, which also gave him 21 rounds in the 60s this for the season ... A semifinalist for the 2007 Ben Hogan Award, Lovemark, won four tournaments, including USC's first Pac-10 title since 1983. He won by six strokes and finished 19-under 269 (69-66-67-67), the most under par in the event since 2000 ... Lovemark became USC's first freshman since 2000 to win any event when he won the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge by eight strokes with a 4-under 209 (70-72-67) and later tied for first in the Oregon Duck Invitational with a 2-under 214 (67-75-72) ... Lovemark finished second or third four other times, including a tie for second at the NCAA Championships West Regional when he carded a 15-under 201 (69-63-69) with a second-round 63 that tied USC's school record. That effort extended his sub-70 streak to seven, the second time he did it on the season ... Lovemark's 70.10 stroke average was tops on the team and he was the Trojans' top finisher in eight of 13 events ... His first 64 on the season came at the USC Collegiate Invitational, where he tied for second overall ... In mid-season, Lovemark played as an amateur in the 2007 Buick Invitational and parlayed it into a tie for 39th. He finished with a 72-hole 285 (66-74-73-72, -3). After the season, he played as an amateur in numerous pro events and was tabbed as the Southern Golf Association's National Amateur of the Month for June after a trio of impressive outings. After winning the NCAA title, he became the first amateur to tie for a Nationwide Tour title, losing in a playoff in the Rochester Area Charities Showdown after firing a 65 for the low final round. Finally, he won two matches to help the U.S. win the Palmer Cup over Team Europe, a Ryder Cup-styled event for amateurs ... In July, ESPN.com named Lovemark among the top 25 golfers in the world under age 25.
HIGH SCHOOL
Lovemark prepped at Torrey Pines High in San Diego ... Before enrolling in USC, he played in the 2006 Western Open on the PGA Tour. He earned the invitation after winning the prestigious Western Amateur before his senior year in August of 2005, beating some of the best amateurs in the country ... He was a two-time AJGA All-American in 2004 and 2005 and was a two-time member of the Canon Cup West Team ... In 2005, he had four top 15 finishes in five events. In 2004 he captured both the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions and the Western Junior Championship in back-to-back weeks. He was ranked among the top 10 junior golfers in the country before entering USC as part of Golfweek.com's top-ranked recruiting class.
