Sophomore Tim Sluiter fired a 4-under 67 and finished tied for 10th with junior teammate Jamie Lovemark as the No. 2 USC men's golf team finished fourth at the highly competitive 2008 Ping/Golfweek Preview at the Inverness C.C. in Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday (Sept. 30).

USC, playing in its first event of the 2008-2009 season, finished with a combined 15-over 867 (286-291-290). Oklahoma State (843) ran away with the win and was followed by Tennessee (859), Georgia (861), USC and Alabama (868).

Sluiter (76-70-67) and Lovemark (66-76-71) tied for 10th at even 213. Sluiter's 67 on Tuesday featured four birdies without a bogey as he tied his low round as a Trojan. He did it twice as a freshman last season. Lovemark also had four birdies on the day.
