THIS SEASON: Erik Tolmachoff, who has battled injuries his entire career at USC, is a 2003 senior who will look to continue to be a point-scorer for the Trojans at the Pac-10 level and hopes to break through at the NCAAs.
2002: Tolmachoff, as a 2002 junior, competed in three events at the 2002 Pac-10s, taking 10th in the 500y free (4:25.33), 11th in the 200y fly (1:47.97) and 19th in the 200y free (1:41.66)
His above time in the 500y free and his prelim mark of 1:47.93 in the 200y fly were both NCAA consideration times, the latter an personal best
He earned Pac-10 All-Academic first team honors with a 3.51 GPA in chemical engineering
At the 2002 U.S. Summer Nationals, he was 31st in the 200m fly and 47th in the 400m free.
2001: Tolmachoff made his Pac-10 point-scoring debut as a sophomore at the 2001 conference meet, taking 12th in both the 500y free (4:27.25) 200y fly (1:48.37) and 14th in the 400y IM (3:58.92)
He raced at the 2001 U.S. Spring Nationals, taking 44th in the 200m fly (2:08.22).
2000: Tolmachoff made marked improvement as a 2000 freshman ... He posted an NCAA consideration time in the 200y fly (1:49.01) and his 50.06 in the 100y fly was the third-fastest on the team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Tolmachoff prepped at Clovis West High in Fresno, Calif.
He earned All-American first team honors in the 100y fly and earned All-American honorable mention notice in the 200y free as a junior ... He was also named his teams MVP as a senior and earned the Scholar-Athlete Award ... His Clovis Swim club team won the 1999 Junior Nationals West.
