Results

Competing with a short squad days before the spring semester starts, members of the USC's men's swimming team is in fifth place at the 26th Annual Classic at SMU in Dallas after action on Friday (Jan. 11).

USC opened with a third-place effort in the 400y medley relay, the quartet of freshman Jake Grosser and seniors Brandon Lovell, Bryce Elser and Richard Gosper finishing in 3:20.64.

In the 50y free, Gosper, who earlier this season broke the school record in the event with a 19.54, cruised to fifth tonight in 20.99 while Grosser was eighth in 20.70, his time coming in the consolation final.

In the 100y fly, Elser was third (48.18) while Lovell was eighth (49.04). Grosser was eighth in the 100y back (50.23) and Lovell was eighth in the 100y breast (57.01).

Action in Dallas concludes tomorrow.
