Freshman diver Steven Starks scored individually for the first time while senior Bryce Elser swam a personal best in the 200y fly for the USC men's swimming and diving team on the final day of the 2008 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash., on Saturday (March 29).

Starks, second on platform at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships and Zone E Regionals, finished 16th at the NCAAs, getting in the scoring column for USC with 293.40 points.

Elser entered the meet with a season-best 1:47.48 but went almost two seconds faster, finishing 22nd in 1:45.49.

Senior Richard Gosper finished 40th in the 100y free (44.18) while junior Vanni Mangoni was 34th in the 200y breast (2:01.62).
