USC graduate Prakash Amritraj has made it a successful summer so far with his first trip to a tournament final. Playing in the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, Amritraj dispatched four opponents en route to the grass tournament final on July 13.

A wildcard into the competition, posted a three-set comeback win in the first round before a pair of straight-set wins to reach the semis. There, Amritraj took down the tournament's No. 7 seed, Frank Dancevic 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3 for a shot at the title. In the final, Amritraj came up against second-seeded Fabrice Santoro, falling 6-3, 7-5 to close out the former Trojan's powerful run in Newport.

At USC, Amritraj was a member of the Trojans' 2002 NCAA Championship team and was an All-Pac-10 Second Team selection in 2003.
