USC graduate Kaes Van't Hof has taken his doubles dominance to a new stage, making the leap from the 2008 NCAA Doubles Championship to the US Open today (August 26). Winning the NCAA title earned Van't Hof a wildcard into the US Open doubles play, where he teamed up with Michael McClune for today's first round. Van't Hof also secured a unique pairing in the mixed doubles competition, teaming up tomorrow in the first round with UCLA's Riza Zalameda to open that US Open bracket of play.

Today, Van't Hof and McClune came back to beat Eric Butorac/Jaroslav Levinsky 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of Men's Doubles action. On Wednesday, Van't Hof and Zalameda will face a Czech pair, Vladimira Uhlirova and Martin Damm in the first round of Mixed Doubles competition
