Junior outside hitter Juan Figueroa was named to the 2007 Volleyball Magazine All-American second team.

Figueroa, who earlier was named to the All-MPSF third team, was fifth nationally in kills (4.90) and sixth in points (5.52) in 2007. He led the Trojans in kills (505) and aces (26) in 2007 when he started for his third season. He was second on the team in digs (184) and fourth in blocks (72). In his career, he has 1,077 kills, 437 digs, 160 blocks and 50 aces.

He helped the Trojans to their most successful season in 6 years. This past season, USC advanced to the MPSF playoffs, had 12 overall wins and 9 MPSF victories and finished eighth in the MPSF standings, all superlatives last accomplished in 2001.
