THIS SEASON: Buckner will see his first competition as a Trojan this season, bringing a fiery strength and scoring ability to the USC lineup.

2006: Buckner did not compete in his first season at USC as a transfer from California.

2005 AT CAL: Buckner scored 22 goals in 27 appearances for the Bears as a true freshman... Scored a career-high four goals against UC Santa Cruz and Long Beach State... Cal finished the 2005 season ranked No. 3 with a 21-7 record.

NATIONAL TEAMS: Buckner is a member of the U.S. Men's National Team, having competed at the 2005 World Championships... Also won gold with the U.S. Junior National Team at the 2004 Junior Pan American Games... Was the youngest member of the Junior and Youth teams.

HIGH SCHOOL: Buckner was named the 2004 CIF Division II Player of the Year as a senior at Villa Park High... Set school scoring records with 186 goals as a senior and 364 career goals... A two-time first team All-American... Named 2004 Orange County Register Player of the Year and Century League MVP in 2003 and 2004... Played club for Lamorinda, winning gold at the 20-Under National Championships and bronze at the Men's Senior Nationals.
