THIS SEASON: Sagehorn returns as one of USC's top young players, adding skill and versatility to the Trojan gameplan.
2006: Sagehorn posted the team's sixth-best scoring mark with 22 goals as a true freshman... Scored in 14 games with five multiple-goal efforts... Tallied hat tricks against Santa Clara and St. Francis.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Sagehorn is a member of the U.S. Junior National Team, recently competing in the 2007 FINA Junior World Championships and placing second at the Low Tatras Cup in Slovakia over the summer... Scored nine goals at the 2005 Junior World Championships... Competed in Europe and the Junior Pan American Games in the summer of 2006... Also has competed internationally with the U.S. Youth and Cadet teams.
HIGH SCHOOL: Sagehorn was named the 2005 CIF Southern Section Division I Player of the Year as a senior on the CIF champion Wilson High team, which has won five straight titles... Selected 2005 Player of the Year by the Long Beach Press-Telegram and the LA Times... An All-CIF First Team selection as a sophomore and junior... Moore League Player of the Year as a senior and first team selection as a sophomore and junior... Named a NISCA All-American 2003-2005... Also named 2006 Swimmer of the Year by the Press-Telegram... Plays club for Long Beach Shore.
PERSONAL: Sagehorn has not declared a major but is interested in a future in orthodontics... Parents are Robert and Marilyn... Has one sister, Lia... Lists his high school swim coach Klaus Barth, an Ironman triathlete fighting brain cancer, as his biggest sports hero... Birthdate is Aug. 20, 1987.
