LOS ANGELES - Junior James Shin scored a game-high four goals Saturday as the No. 1 USC Trojans defeated the No. 4 Pepperdine Waves, 10-6, in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action at McDonald's Swim Stadium. Shin scored two of his goals in the first half as the Trojans built a commanding 5-0 lead before Jesse Smith scored for Pepperdine at the 4:06 mark.

The Trojans improve to 14-2 overall on the season and 4-0 in conference play while Pepperdine fell to 12-4 overall and 1-2 in MPSF play.

Senior goalie Bozidar Damjanovic made 10 saves in goal for the Trojans to keep the Waves at bay. Juraj Zatovic scored three goals for the Trojans while Smith led the Waves with a team-high two goals.

USC travels to No. 5 UCLA for another MPSF match on Sunday (Oct. 26) at noon at the Sunset Recreation Center.
