LOS ANGELES CALIF. -- The top-ranked USC men's water polo team avenged its only loss of the season by posting a 10-4 win over visiting No. 5 Pepperdine in the Trojans' final home regular-season game. Stifling USC team defense and a stubborn Adam Shilling in the cage helped USC clamp down on the Waves, while the Trojan offense got the job done on the other end. Juraj Zatovic converted on three first-half man advantages to help propel USC to a 5-1 haltime lead. Zatovic finished the game with a team-high four goals, and Juan Delgadillo added a hat trick to tag-team the Trojans to victory.

USC held the Waves scoreless in the second period and went 3-for-4 on man advantages in the frame, thanks to a pair from Zatovic and another from Tommy Corcoran. After halftime, USC's offense stayed strong and built up its lead to 8-2 after giving up a second goal to Pepperdine's 2004 Olympian Jesse Smith.

The Waves managed a pair of goals in the final period, but Delgadillo matched that himself to keep USC powered up for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation victory.

USC goes on the road for its next three regular-season MPSF games, beginning with a trip up north to face California at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 12) and Pacific at 12 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 13). USC's next home games will be as a part of the MPSF Tournament, to be held at McDonald's Swim Stadium from Nov. 25-27.
