USC junior Matt Sagehorn led all scorers with four goals in a big USC road win over No. 5 Pepperdine over the weekend, helping keep the Trojans undefeated on the year with a 14-5 victory over the Waves and earning himself a share of this week's MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week honors.

Sagehorn scored twice in the second period and twice in the third to help pull USC out of reach of Pepperdine. The four-goal effort tied a career best for Sagehorn, and was his top scoring effort in any game this season. USC improved to 19-0 overall and 4-0 in MPSF play with the road win.

This is Sagehorn's first MPSF Player of the Week award, and he becomes the fourth Trojan to earn the honor this season.

The Trojans now turn to host crosstown rival UCLA this weekend in a battle for MPSF positioning and Lexus Gauntlet points on Saturday at 1 p.m. at McDonald's Swim Stadium. Admission is free.
