THIS SEASON
Nicole Berberet returns for her second season of action with the Women of Troy as a reliable and hard-working point guard who brings depth and strength to the lineup.
2006-07 SEASON
Berberet joined the USC roster in 2006 as a walk-on and ended up starting one game and playing in 22 at the point guard position... Averaged 3.0 minutes per game in USC's first eight games before increasing her playing time to 10.5 minutes per game during Pac-10 play... Nabbed 10 steals, dished up eight assists and is 2-for-3 from 3-point range.
HIGH SCHOOL
Berberet was a two-sport athlete at Esperanza High in Anaheim, Calif... Was a second team all-league selection for both basketball and volleyball... Inducted into the Yorba Linda Hall of Fame for volleyball... Was a setter and outside hitter on the volleyball team, which won the SIF Division IAA title in 2003 and reached the state quarterfinals... Team also was a CIF finalist in 2004... Was a member of the Sunset League championship teams for volleyball in 2003 and basketball in 2004... An AP Scholar with Distinction... Member of the California Scholastic Federation and Collegiate Scholar Program all four years.
PERSONAL
Nicole Rose Berberet was born on March 16, 1987 in Fountain Valley, Calif.... The daughter of Glen and Anna, she has two brothers, Parker and Dylan... Calls her younger brother Dylan her biggest sports hero because of his determination to succeed... Also is active in USC intramural football, volleyball, basketball and softball... Lists "Bull Durham" as her favorite movie and "Grey's Anatomy" as her favorite TV show... Majoring in social sciences with emphasis in psychology.
