Another member of the USC women's basketball team's Class of 2007 will join the pro ranks this coming WNBA season. A year after Trojan standout Shay Murphy was drafted in the second round of the WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx, her fellow Trojan teammate Chloe Kerr has signed on to join Murphy on the Lynx. Both players are coming off a professional season with different teams in Greece, giving the teammates-turned-opponents a chance to once again share the court in the same uniform.

As Trojans, Kerr and Murphy created a strong inside-outside tandem for the Women of Troy from 2003-2007. A 6-4 center, Kerr was USC's second leading scorer and rebounder as a senior with 11.9 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game. Murphy led USC that season in both categories with 17.9 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game while working her way up to stand as USC's all-time leading 3-point shooter with 181 career threes.

In her rookie season with the Minnesota Lynx, Murphy appeared in 32 games, averaging 5.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to rank sixth on the team in scoring. As a member of her Greek team Apollon Ptolemaidas, Murphy leads the squad with 18.5 point per game and 61 steals and is second on the boards with 7.0 rebounds per game. Apollon finished second in the Greek pro league. This season with her Greek club Aris Holargos, Kerr leads the team in rebounds (8.8 rpg) and blocks (0.9 bpg) and is second in scoring (12.1 ppg), while ranking third in the league in blocks and sixth in rebounding. Both Kerr and Murphy competed in the Greek All-Star Game.
