LAKE NATOMA, Calif. - The USC women's rowing team returned home victorious after entering one boat in the 2003 Pacific Coast Rowing Championships held on Saturday, May 17, prior to the Pac-10 Conference Championships at Lake Natoma. The Trojans' Novice Four boat swept its first heat and went on to win the Grand Final for the event title.

USC, which won its first heat by a five-second margin, finished first in the Grand Final in a time of 7:52.9 - nearly 12 seconds ahead of second-place San Diego State (8:04.11). The Aztecs edged out UCSD, who finished third in 8:04.5. Sacramento State (8:07.1), Western Washington (8:22.0) and California (8:28.9) finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
