For the second day in a row, senior Dewi Claire Schreefel finished with the individual lead while helping the No. 3 USC women's golf team extend its lead on the second day of the PING/ASU Invitational on Saturday (April 5) at the Karsten G.C. in Phoenix, Ariz.

USC, facing a field that includes six top 11 teams, remained at 7-under after a combined even round and is now at 569 (281-288) after 36 holes, 11 strokes ahead of second-place and host Arizona State (4-over 580, 288-292) and 13 ahead of third-place Georgia (6-over 582, 289-293).

Schreefel, seeking her second individual title this season, maintained first place at 7-under 137 (68-69) with a second-round 2-under performance that included four birdies, three on a 3-under back 9.

Sophomore Belen Mozo is tied for eighth at even 144 (71-73) after a three-birdie effort while senior Paola Moreno is tied for 13th at 1-over 145 (71-74).

Sophomore Stefanie Endstrasser is tied for 16th at 2-over 146 (71-75) while freshman Lizette Salas climbed to a tie for 30th at 5-over 149 (77-72) after an even second round that included a birdie on 6 and a bogey on 11.

Freshman Joanne Lee, playing as an individual, is tied for 16th at 2-over 146 (72-74).

Play concludes Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m. (MDT).
