The USC women's golf team fell to Virginia, 4-1, in its final match play competition on the last day of the 2008 Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship on Tuesday (Nov. 4) at Ginn Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Playing in a consolation match, sophomore Lizette Salas was Troy's only winner, defeating Virginia's Whitney Neuhauser, 2 down.

USC is now off until the spring, when it resumes the 2008-2009 season at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Feb. 9-11, at the Palos Verdes C.C. in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
