The Women of Troy had a successful scrimmage against UCSD, SDSU and Univ. of San Diego in San Diego's Mission Bay on Saturday, February 23 to open up their Spring 2008 campaign.

USC rowed two varsity eights against the five entrants of UCSD, SDSU and the Univ. of San Diego. The scrimmage included five 5-minute pieces. The Women of Troy produced a dominating performance, placing first and second in all of the five 5-minute races.

Head Coach Zenon Babraj said that the scrimmage was a "good opportunity for us to do some checking within our squad in a competitive environment. We were able to row two evenly matched varsity eights today."

Next stop for the Women of Troy is a scrimmage against Sacramento State at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif., which will take place during the team's training camp on Friday, March 21, 2008.
