The No. 6 Women of Troy swept all of the races of day one of the Stanford Invitational in Redwood Shores, Calif. on Saturday April 19, but on Sunday April 20 the varsity four beat Stanford, the second varsity eight beat Stanford and the No. 6 varsity eight lost to No. 10 Stanford.

Day one of the two-day regatta the Women of Troy won all of their races, with the varsity eight beating Central Florida with a time of 7:19.05, the second varsity eight also beat Central Florida with a time of 7:27.65 and the varsity four rounded out the morning session by overtaking Central Florida at 8:31.13.

In the afternoon session on Saturday, USC experienced more success with the second varsity eight starting things off with a win against Santa Clara at 7:57.86. The varsity eight beat Victoria with a time of 7:16.04. The varsity four completed day one with a win over Victoria with a time of 8:38.07.

Day two brought tough competition with the Stanford Crew. The No. 6 varsity eight dropped their race to No. 10 Stanford, with a time of 6:30.75, about 2 seconds behind Stanford who came in at 6:28.63. The second varsity eight beat Stanford with a time of 6:47.60. The varsity four finished off the day for the Women of Troy with a victory over Stanford with a time of 7:38.74.

The Women of Troy will now look ahead to a dual meet against rival UCLA on Saturday May 3 in San Pedro, Calif.
