THIS SEASON
Karter Haug enters her second season at USC as a key part of the strong Trojan defense, bringing a keen ability to contain and shut down opposing strikers.
2007:
Haug stepped right into the USC defensive ranks and appeared in all 25 games, starting 24 matches as a freshman... She also scored one goal and had two assists... Haug's first career goal came on USC's second goal against Cal, and her first assist came on the Trojans' first goal of the year against Weber State.
HIGH SCHOOL:
As a center midfielder at Mountain Vista High in Highlands Ranch, Colo., won 2005 state title and reached state semifinals in 2004 and 2006... All-State First Team selection by Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News and Colorado High School Coaches in 2005, 2006 and 2007... First Team All-Continental League 2005-07; honorable mention in 2004... First Team All-State Academic Team 2005-07... Named team MVP as a junior and senior... Ranked ninth in her class academically... Played club with Real Colorado National and USL Real Colorado Cougars... Won State Cup titles in 2004, 2005 and 2007... State runner-up in 2001 and 2006... Member of Colorado ODP Region IV team in 2005 and 2006.

Haug is majoring in journalism... Parents are Dan and Patti... Has one brother, Davis... Says her career goal is "to make a difference"...
