Kristin Olsen enters her second season at USC as a talented and capable member of USC's athletic goalkeeping unit.
2006 FRESHMAN SEASON
Olsen appeared in three games as a freshman -- twice in goal and once on the field... Had two saves in 16 minutes in goal against Drake on Sept. 8... Set a career high with five saves in 67 minutes in goal against Arizona on Oct. 22... Played in the field for five minutes against Washington on Oct. 29... Was the goalie of record in the Arizona scoreless tie for a 0-0-1 record on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL
Olsen was a three-sport athlete at Villa Park High, playing soccer, volleyball and track and field, named her school's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior... In soccer, was a goalie and a forward, named Offensive MVP and First Team All-League as a junior... In volleyball, was named Offensive MVP as a senior and First Team All-League as a junior and senior... In track, named MVP all four years, competing in the long jump and triple jump... CIF qualifier as a freshman and sophomore... A scholar athlete as a junior and senior... Played club for the SoCal Blues, finishing as state champs as an under-15 and reached the state final as an under-16 and under-18.
PERSONAL
Olsen has not decided on a major... Parents are Susan and Rob... Has three brothers, Brian, Michael and Stephen... Brian is a 2003 graduate of USC... Favorite movies are `Finding Nemo' and `Elf'... Has always wanted to snowboard and skydive... Birthdate is Aug. 24, 1988.
