Ashli Sandoval enters her first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was the 2005 CIF Division Player of the Year and an four-time all-CIF first team selection at Granite Hills High... Also named conference MVP as a senior... Granite Hills team was a CIF finalist all four years and won the 2005 CIF title... Named league Player of the Year in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and a four-time first team all-leaguer... Also ran track and cross country, finishing eighth in the 2004 CIF cross country race... A 2004 CIF and all-league first team pick... Played club soccer for San Diego Surf and Hotspurs... U-15 team won 2005 Surf Cup title... A U.S. under-17 national team pool player... Played four years with Cal South `89 ODP, winning 2006 Regionals and 2006 national co-championship.
PERSONAL
Sandoval has not decided on a major... Parents are Jose and Trudy... Has three siblings, Josh Sandoval, Christy Donston and Steven Donston... Lists Brandi Chastain as her biggest sports hero... Favorite movie is `Pirates of the Caribbean'.. Enjoys watching old game shows and would like to one day visit Australia and Europe... Birthdate is Sept. 2, 1989.
