USC senior Amy Rodriguez has earned national honors this week, named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's College Team of the Week after scoring two big goals for the Trojans over the weekend.

Rodriguez registered her second multiple-goal game of the season on Friday with two crucial goals in a comeback win over visiting #16 Washington. Rodriguez's first goal of the day pulled USC even with the Huskies, and her second goal came during overtime, securing a 3-2 win for USC with her score in the 95th minute of play. The goal was her second game-winner of the season and 11th in her career, pulling Rodriguez to No. 3 all-time at USC in game-winning goals The two-goal effort also lifted Rodriguez to No. 4 all-time in career points (76) and career goals (30). She now leads the Trojans in scoring this season with seven goals and three assists in 10 games played.

With the win over Washington, USC set a new program record with its ninth consecutive victory. USC also holds a program record home unbeaten streak with 19 straight after a scoreless tie with WSU on Sunday.

The Trojans now set up for their first Pac-10 road trip of the year, heading to face Arizona on Friday (Oct. 17) and then Arizona State on Sunday (Oct. 19). USC will return home on Oct. 24 for a highly anticipated clash with crosstown rival UCLA. The Trojans and the Bruins last faced in the NCAA semifinals, where USC got two goals from Rodriguez and beat UCLA 2-1 before the Women of Troy went on to win their first-ever NCAA Championships.
