USC junior goalkeeper Kristin Olsen has earned herself Pac-10 Player of the Week honors with back-to-back shutout performances on the road for the Trojans. She is the first USC player to win the weekly award from the conference this season, as the Women of Troy now turn to begin their NCAA Tournament push this week.

Over the previous weekend, Olsen racked up 10 saves in two road wins for the Trojans, tacking up two more shutouts to the junior's career tally. Olsen had to make several big saves in both matches in order to anchor the shutout victories for the Trojans. She made four second-half saves against Oregon to preserve the shutout win there, and made four in the first half to stave off Oregon State to pull out a winning weekend for the Trojans in their final weekend of Pac-10 play.

Now with seven shutouts this season Olsen has taken over the No. 2 spot all-time at USC in career shutouts with 19. It's the second career honor for the junior goalkeeper, who also was named Pac-10 Player of the Week in 2007.

Olsen and the defending national champions are now off to Provo, Utah, for a Thursday (Nov. 13) NCAA First Round match against Boston University.
