THIS SEASON: Leyla Entekhabi enters her second year at USC... During the fall, went 4-3 in singles and 1-3 in doubles.. Reached the ITA Regionals Round of 16 in singles and went 2-1 in singles at the Duals in the Desert. 2008: Entekhabi held a 17-match singles win streak during her first season at USC... Finished with an overall singles record of 29-10 and was 20-3 in dual matches, playing at the No. 5 (6-1) and No. 6 (14-2) positions.... Played in the Round of 32 at the Pac-10 Singles Championships... Went 5-6 in doubles , going 3-2 in dual match play at No. 3 with Sarah Fansler and 1-0 at No. 3 with Gabriela Niculescu... During the fall, went 7-4 in singles and 1-3 in doubles... Beat fellow freshman Maria Sanchez in the consolation semifinals of the ITA West Regionals, going 6-1 in the tournament. HIGH SCHOOL: Entekhabi is a 2007 graduate of Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, Calif... Selected the No. 3 recruit out of California and No. 19 nationally... Ranked No. 60 in the 2007 National Junior Standings... Had five out of six wins at the Wilson Junior Championships and five out of five at the Carmel Valley AC Winter Junior Championship...
