West Nott enters his second season as assistant coach at USC. He came to Troy after serving as a volunteer assistant with the Washington men's program, following a successful collegiate playing career at Georgia Tech. A citizen of the Marshall Islands, Nott also is active in international competition for the Oceanic Tennis Federation teams, most recently helping Pacific Oceana beat Pakistan in Davis Cup action in Samoa.
Nott had a hand in helping Washington men reach the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2006. As a player, Nott followed up a year at Florida with three successful seasons at Georgia Tech, where he ranks fifth all-time in career wins before completing his collegiate career and graduating with a degree in management. In 1998, he won the U.S. National Indoor Boys 16 Championship while attending Naples High School in Naples, Fla.
