USC senior Amanda Fink shrugged off an early first-round loss in the Main Draw of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships and rebounded with four straight wins in the consolation bracket. Today, Fink finished off the run with 6-4, 6-2 win over Miami's Julia Cohen in the consolation final.

To get to that final, Fink outlasted her opponents in back-to-back three-setters. She pinned up a 6-0, 6-7 (2), 6-1 win over Vanderbilt's Catherine Newman in the quarterfinals on Friday and then took down Fresno State's Melanie Gloria 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 for a comeback win in yesterday's semifinals. Against Cohen in today's championship, Fink rolled out to a smooth win, tacking up a 6-4, 6-2 decision. To now hold a 4-1 mark in the early goings of the 2008-09 season.

USC's next competition takes the Women of Troy to the ITA Western Regional in San Diego, Calif, for competition running Oct. 23-27.
