Urango is a talented player who can play several positions for the Trojans...she can play in the back row, but will also offer help in the front as an outside hitter.
National Team
She played two years for the U.S. Youth National Team (2005-06) and also played on the Junior National Team...member of the gold-medal team that won the 2006 NORCECA championship in Monterrey, Mexico...her team placed fourth at the 2005 World Games in Macau, China.
High School/Club
Urango was a 2007 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection...helped her Los Alamitos (Calif.) High team to the 2006 CIF Division I state championship and was named tournament most valuable player under coach Jimmy Munoz...named 2006 Long Beach Press-Telegram Player of the Year...earned 2006 All-CIF first team honors...named Sunset League and Los Alamitos High most valuable players...earned scholar-athlete award with a 4.33 grade-point-average...her Los Al team also won the state championship in 2003 and 2005, as well as the CIF championship in 2004 and 2005...earned the scholar-athlete award and member of the principal's honor roll all four years...member of the National Honor Society...played five seasons of club volleyball for TCA...named to the 2006 and 2007 Junior Olympics 18 Open all-tournament team...member of the 2006 JO 18 Open championship squad...her 2007 team finished third in the JO 18 Open division.
