She played on the U.S. Youth National Team in 2004 and 2005 and was a member of the High Performance squad in 2003...played for the squad that finished fourth at the World 18 and Under Games in 2005 and the gold-medal squad at the 2004 NORCECA Championship.

Williams was a 2007 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection...earned all-state honors as a senior at Stratford High in Houston, Texas under coach Becky Palermo...named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Area first team in her senior season as well as being named as the best blocker...earned all-district first team honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons...named best attacker at the 2007 Kingwood Tournament....played club volleyball for Texas Elite and Texas Tornados under coach and four-time Olympian Tara Cross-Battle...also named to the Lone Star Volleyball All-Texas Team in her junior and senior seasons...named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Team in her senior season...member of the 17 Division squad that finished fifth at the national championships and won the Las Vegas Tournament.
