LOS ANGELES -- The United States women's volleyball Olympic team swept Cuba on Thursday afternoon to advance to the gold-medal match against Brazil, giving former USC libero Nicole Davis (Stockton, Calif.) an opportunity to add to Troy's extensive gold-medal history.

Team USA beat Cuba, 25-20, 25-16, 25-17, as Davis recorded seven digs in the match. The U.S. squad will be making its first Olympic final appearance since 1984 with the team's last medal coming in 1992 with the bronze.
