LOS ANGELES -- USC junior outside hitter Jessica Gysin (Los Gatos/St. Francis HS) has been named to the 2008 All-Pac-10 Women's Volleyball Team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today. Gysin received her first-ever all-conference honor while outside hitter Alex Jupiter (Hermosa Beach/Redondo Union HS) and middle blocker Lauren Williams (Houston, Texas/Stratford HS) were named to the All-Freshman Team.

Gysin has 312 kills this season (3.15 kps) with 227 digs (2.29 dps) and 47 blocks 0.47 bps), including a team-leading 24 solo blocks. She has served as team captain for a squad that features no seniors this season.

Jupiter leads the Trojans with 329 kills this season (3.26 kps) with 121 digs (1.20 dps), 56 blocks (0.55 bps) and a team-leading 380.0 points (3.76 pps). She is on pace to be just the third freshman in USC history to lead the team in kills.

Williams has 204 kills this season (2.10 kps) with a team-leading 103 blocks (1.06 bps) and .317 hitting percentage among regulars. She is currently sixth in the Pac-10 for blocks and ninth for hitting percentage. In her last seven matches, Williams is hitting .438 (67 kills, 10 errors, 130 attempts).

Taylor Carico, Alli Hillgren, Kimmee Roleder and Lauren Williams all received honorable mention recognition.
